Explore! America's Nation Parks

Let's take a peek inside this book and look at some of the amazing information it has on our Parks.

Table of Contents

The book provides a brief history of the National Parks from their inception in 1864 when President Lincoln first protected Yosemite in California all the way into today where the National Park Service is in charge of more than 400 parks across the United States.

Brief History of National Parks

The books begins with the first National Park: Yosemite. I live in California and have been fortunate to visit this park twice. It has amazing waterfalls and scenic views and challenging hiking. My first time there, I stayed in a cabin in the park and used the bear safe food containers shown in the book. You don't want to be leaving food around or you will attract the wrong kind of visitor to your cabin. These pictures give you a glimpse of what Yosemite has to offer it's visitors.
